The Certified Instructors’ Conference is held every other year.
All Certified Instructors are invited to attend Conference. The event is ideal for anyone who wants to refresh or advance their professional development and training skills.
CPI will offer Verbal Intervention™, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention®, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® With Advanced Physical Skills as in-person instructor certification/recertification or renewal at Conference. Specialty topic programs and renewals, including Trauma, Mental Health, and Autism Spectrum Disorder, can be added and attended virtually after Conference.

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® With Advanced Physical Skills
Program training follows CPI’s blended model, which includes both online and in-person delivery methods. You will receive a link to the online module via email two weeks before the training. The balance of the training will be in-person, except for the specialty topic programs and renewals, which are virtual and can be completed at any time.
Yes, non-Certified Instructors are welcome to attend Conference if they plan to participate in one of the available training programs.
Yes. During registration, simply select the Change Location option near the top of the screen.
At the workshops, Certified Instructors can take a deeper dive into specific aspects of training. You will gain real-world takeaways and action plans to implement within your organization. See the workshops offered at Conference.

Yes, attending an add-on training program at Conference gives you the opportunity to earn continuing education units (CEUs). CPI is accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and offers IACET CEUs for learning events that comply with the ANSI/IACET Continuing Education and Training Standard. IACET is recognized internationally as a standard development organization and accrediting body that promotes quality of continuing education and training.
The 2025 keynote speaker lineup includes Mark Schulman, a rockstar drummer who has played with artists like P!NK, Stevie Nicks, and Cher, Heather J. Crider, a neuroscience coach and neuro-practice pioneer, and Shawn Achor, a New York Times bestselling author who demonstrates how happiness, optimism, and social connection are the fuel that increases our potential.
The 2025 general session speaker is Rebecca Brown, MSW, RSW, psychotherapist and crisis intervention specialist. She has spent her decades-long career in medical social work, child welfare, and crisis response.
We will have two exciting evenings of fun and networking!
Sunday, July 6: Join us for a Welcome Reception on the Pool Deck at the hotel. Enjoy delicious food, refreshing drinks, and the chance to mingle with fellow Certified Instructors in a relaxed atmosphere.
Monday, July 7: We'll head to Luke Combs’ Category 10 for a true Nashville experience. The evening will feature a delightful dinner, drinks, live music, and line dancing lessons. It's the perfect opportunity to unwind and have a great time with new friends!

You can register online or over the phone (877-877-5390) for Conference and add-on training programs. Acceptable payment methods include credit card, debit card, purchase order, or check.
Starting September 3, 2024, the cost to attend Conference will be $800 USD ($1,100 CAD) per attendee. Registration prices cover all sessions, Conference-designated off-site activities, and meals during active Conference hours. Registration prices do not include travel, accommodations, non-Conference activities, or optional training programs.
For on- and off-site Conference events and training, please wear appropriate business casual clothing. We highly recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes for hands-on training, particularly for Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® With Advanced Physical Skills.
